Active Imagination Introduces Innovative Concierge-Style Emergency Room to HoustonJune 1, 2006
HOUSTON, TEXAS: Emergency Health Centre in Northwest Houston has chosen Active Imagination to introduce the free-standing physician-owned emergency facility to the city. Active Imagination created the company’s name, logo, Web site, marketing plan and brand strategy. The marketing strategy’s intention is to make the Centre the most desirable provider of emergency medical care in the surrounding area. To differentiate the Centre from hospital emergency rooms, urgent care centers and “docs-in-the-box,” Active Imagination’s brand strategy identified the needs of its core demographics: discerning, upper-middle-class families who want the best medical care for themselves and their loved ones. At Emergency Health Centre, patients will find a high-end experience with valet parking, individual exam rooms, convenient online check-in and short waiting times. “I had no idea how little I knew about my brand until Active Imagination came in. I had a general idea of who we wanted to target and what we wanted our logo to look like, but Active Imagination took it so much deeper,” says Emergency Health Centre partner Victor Miranda, M.D. “Using their BrandStorySM process, we were able to understand every aspect of our brand, from what we should call ourselves to reach our target demographic, to what colors we should use in our logo and interior to support our overall brand message.” Emergency Health Centre will soon be one of the most sophisticated and technologically advanced emergency departments in the city. In addition to emergency services, Emergency Health Centre will serve as a diagnostic and imaging centre, and it boasts a 64-slice CT scanner, the first scanner capable of providing clear images of the heart and its major vessels in less than five seconds. The first Emergency Health Centre will open in September 2007, and the Centre’s physician-owners plan to expand the Centre to include three additional Houston-area branches using the established branding and marketing strategies created by Active Imagination.
